Sweet Agony

Half of that title describes well the problems with the poll host I used this time. Complete chaos. However, I think the results point to Sweet Agony as the winner:

Which should be the next book?
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
16.67%
The Binding Chair by Kathryn Harrison
0%
Ignorance by Milan Kundera
33.33%
Sweet Agony by Nancy Huston
41.67%
Awakening by Kate Chopin
8.33%
Total votes : 12

Unless you guys want a recount.
And speaking of, I hope you guys had time today to vote in that other "special" election.
Have a good week,

G

Suggestions for next book

I think we all agreed that Room With a View was OK, but no Pride and Prejudice. My recommendation: see the movie

Here are a few suggestions for the next book. However I have a nagging suspicion I'm missing one, from Sandra maybe? Email the group if I missed one and I'll include it in the voting poll.

Kathryn Harrison's The Binding Chair:
http://www.bookbrowse.com/reading_guides/detail/index.cfm?book_number=518
Harrison is an American writer perhaps best know for her memior "TheKiss". She lives in NYC.

Nancy Huston's Sweet Agony (Also goes by the title Dolce Agonia):
http://www.randomhouse.com/vintage/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780375713668
Huston is a Canadian living in France. Sweet Agony is the first bookto get real attention stateside. I love her writing--elegant,cutting (Maria will approve) and very funny.....

Milan Kundera's Ignorance:

Kate Chopin's Awakening:
